We built Power EA for ourselves first.
Where we started.
Power Tech Consulting started as a services business led by Raynesh Kalyan, with a co-founder running admin and operations. For years we've worked alongside major Australian mining operators — engagements where ISO 27001 compliance and strict data security are the baseline, not the ceiling.
The bottleneck.
As Power Tech grew, so did the admin. Timesheets. Bank reconciliations. Customer notifications. Invoice and PO tracking. Manual, repeating, slipping. The choice in front of us was simple: hire another person, or solve it with AI.
The line we wouldn't cross.
We started with AI on development work — code, documentation, internal experiments. Public models were fine for that. But running customer data, financial records, PII, or our own IP through those same public services? That was a line our ISO 27001 obligations would never let us cross.
The foundation, then the product.
So before any of this touched real business operations, we built the foundation: private AWS Bedrock and Microsoft Azure infrastructure in Australia. Same top-tier models from Claude and OpenAI — but running on our infrastructure, never their public servers. The automations we'd prototyped became Power EA. It now ships under Power Tech Nexus, the product arm of the Power Tech group.
